Alexander McQueen Appoints Gaelle Collet as Chief Brand and Communications Officer
Alexander McQueen is undergoing a transformation under new designer Seán McGirr, and the latest addition to the team is Gaelle Collet, who has been named the chief brand and communications officer. Collet, who previously worked at Celine and other luxury houses, will bring her expertise to the London-based fashion house starting on May 15.
With a strong track record in building global desirable brands, Collet is expected to play a key role in the brand repositioning efforts at Alexander McQueen. President and CEO Gianfilippo Testa praised her experience and shared values, noting that her luxury and fashion industry expertise will be crucial in this phase of the brand’s development.
McGirr, who recently took over as creative director, showcased his first collection during Paris Fashion Week last month. With Collet on board, the team is focused on driving the transformation strategy and elevating the brand with a consumer and creative approach.
As Alexander McQueen continues to evolve, Collet will lead the brand strategy from a PR, communications, image, and marketing perspective to ensure consistency. The fashion house, owned by French conglomerate Kering, is known for its unique British creative heritage and is looking to build on that legacy with the help of Collet and the rest of the team.
