eBay Launches 5th Annual Up & Running Grants Program to Support Small Businesses
eBay, the popular online marketplace, has announced the launch of its 5th annual Up & Running Grants Program, aimed at supporting the growth and sustainability of small businesses across the United States. With a total of $500,000 in grants to be distributed, eBay is committed to helping entrepreneurs enhance their business operations and expand their reach.
This year, 50 deserving eBay sellers will each receive a $10,000 grant to support various business enhancement activities such as upgrading storefronts, purchasing new equipment and inventory, and investing in marketing strategies. Additionally, each recipient will receive a $500 stipend to acquire essential office technology from eBay Refurbished and access ongoing educational resources.
The Up & Running Grants Program has proven to be a game changer for small businesses on eBay, with 90% of previous grant recipients finding the funds extremely beneficial. Last year, 10% of recipients used the grants to raise employee wages, showcasing the program’s impact on improving business operations and contributing to economic growth.
eBay has partnered with Hello Alice, a platform offering resources such as mentorship and strategic advice to assist businesses with their growth and development needs. Dawn Block, eBay’s VP and U.S. General Manager, highlighted the company’s dedication to nurturing small business success, a core element of eBay’s mission since its inception nearly 30 years ago.
The application window for this year’s Up & Running Grants is open until Friday, June 7, 2024, at 6pm ET. eBay is seeking applications from diverse and innovative sellers eager to grow their businesses and positively impact their communities and the eBay ecosystem.
