Amazon Business Launches Small Business Success Studio for Entrepreneurs
Amazon Business is stepping up its support for small entrepreneurs with the launch of new resources through its B2B procurement store. As part of Amazon Business’ third annual Small Business Month, the retail giant introduced the “Small Business Success Studio,” an online resource center aimed at helping smaller businesses thrive.
The free service offers lessons in finance, marketing, procurement, and operations, along with valuable tips from successful founders like Allison Ellsworth of poppi. Additionally, businesses can learn how to leverage Amazon Business to simplify procurement processes and gain operational efficiencies. Entrepreneurs with yearly revenue of $1 million or less are eligible to apply for over $250,000 in grants.
Shelley Salomon, vice president of Amazon Business Worldwide, emphasized the company’s commitment to supporting small businesses. “Driving education and providing funds to small businesses that are making an impact in their local communities is something we’re very passionate about at Amazon Business,” Salomon stated. “Our hope is to set these small businesses up for success by offering grants, educational opportunities, and innovative tools to simplify buying decisions.”
The timing of Amazon’s Small Business Month coincides with National Small Business Week, highlighting the increasing trend of merchants expanding their efforts into eCommerce. Research shows that online channels are crucial for small businesses, with nearly 80% of SMBs utilizing them and realizing half of their sales through online channels.
As Main Street small and medium-sized businesses continue to outperform expectations post-pandemic, the shift towards eCommerce and online presence is becoming more prevalent. Small businesses are finding success by reaching customers beyond their local area, expanding their customer base, and increasing sales opportunities.
With Amazon Business’ new resources and support for small entrepreneurs, the future looks promising for businesses looking to thrive in the digital age.
