2024 Cyber Summit: Exploring U.S. Government Cyber Initiatives and Partnerships with Industry

The U.S. government is ramping up its efforts in the realm of cybersecurity as the digital landscape continues to evolve. With the 2021 Executive Order on Improving the Nation’s Cybersecurity and the March 2023 National Cybersecurity Strategy, cyber concerns have taken center stage in federal priorities.

To delve deeper into the U.S. government’s endeavors in this crucial domain, the Potomac Officers Club is hosting the 2024 Cyber Summit on June 6. This summit will bring together cyber experts from both government and industry to discuss notable cyber initiatives and explore ways to contribute to the mission.

Federal agencies are forging ahead with government-wide strategies and agency-specific plans, with partnerships with the private sector playing a key role in driving progress. Three contracts highlight the strides being made in the cybersecurity space:

1. U.S. Coast Guard: The Coast Guard is modernizing its Command, Control, Communications, Computers, Cyber and Intelligence Mission Support Systems through the Agile C5ISC Operational & Modernization Pipeline for Application Support Services contract, valued at over $100 million.

2. Department of the Air Force: The Air Force is seeking proposals to integrate new sensing and cyber electromagnetic capabilities into the Advanced Battle Management System, with a contract opportunity worth $950 million.

3. Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA): CISA is looking for a contractor to provide operational support services under its Program Support Services contract, expected to exceed $100 million in value.

Key leaders from these agencies, including RADM Christopher Bartz and RDML Jason Tama from the Coast Guard, Lt. Col. Frank Jamerson from the Air Force, and David Carroll from CISA, will be sharing their insights at the 2024 Cyber Summit.
