Treasury Department Approvals for State Small Business Credit Initiative Technical Assistance Application

The Department of the Treasury has recently announced the approval of State Small Business Credit Initiative Technical Assistance Application for various tribal and state governments. The approvals aim to provide legal, accounting, and financial advisory services to help small businesses apply for support from state and/or federal small business programs, including connecting companies directly with SSBCI-supported capital programs.

The approvals cover a wide range of tribal and state governments, including the Citizen Potawatomi Nation in Oklahoma, the Confederated Tribes of the Umatilla Reservation, the Coushatta Tribe of Louisiana, the Ketchikan Indian Community, the Lac Courte Oreilles Band of Lake Superior Chippewa Indians of Wisconsin, the Lower Sioux Community Council, the Mesa Grande Band of Diegueno Mission Indians, the Quechan Indian Tribe, the Aleut Community of Saint Paul Island, the San Pasqual Band of Diegueño Mission Indians of California, the Chickasaw Nation, the Choctaw Nation of Oklahoma, the Osage Nation, the Winnemucca Indian Colony of Nevada, and many more.

These approvals will provide much-needed support to underserved and very small businesses, helping them navigate the complexities of applying for funding and accessing capital. The goal is to stimulate economic growth, create new jobs, and support local economies throughout the tribal and state regions.

The Department of the Treasury’s initiative is a significant step towards empowering small businesses and fostering economic development in tribal and state communities. Stay tuned for more updates on these approvals and their impact on the local business landscape.
