Service Provider & Producer Association Grants Available for Vermont-based Businesses in Agriculture, Forestry, Food, Beverage, and Fiber Industries

Vermont-based businesses and organizations in agriculture, forestry, food, beverage, and fiber industries have an exciting opportunity to apply for Service Provider & Producer Association Grants to support their business initiatives. With a total funding pool of up to $370,000, these grants offer amounts ranging from $10,000 to $75,000 for projects serving specific regions or operating statewide.

The grant period will run from March 2025 to June 2026, providing ample time for recipients to implement their proposed projects. What’s more, no matching funds are required, making this a great opportunity for businesses and organizations looking to enhance their operations.

Eligibility for the grant is open to two categories of applicants: Service Providers and Producer Associations. Service Providers include organizations that offer business support services to Vermont’s agricultural and forestry businesses, while Producer Associations are industry trade groups representing and promoting Vermont-based products. Eligible projects may focus on areas such as market development, business planning, financial planning, and more.

Applicants must be Vermont-based or proposing a project focused on Vermont’s working landscape and businesses. For out-of-state applicants, eligibility should be confirmed with the program contact.

Key dates and deadlines for the grant application process include the release of the Request for Applications on September 20, 2024, an applicant webinar and Q&A session on September 24, 2024, and an application deadline of November 7, 2024. Successful applicants will be notified of funding decisions in early January 2025, with projects set to begin in February or March of that year.
