Town of Hamden Announces Small Business Grant Program for National Small Business Month
The Town of Hamden is making waves this Small Business Month with the announcement of a new grant program aimed at supporting local businesses. In recognition of National Small Business Month, the town has established a $200,000 grant program funded by federal assistance from the American Rescue Plan Act.
Managed by the Town’s Department of Economic and Community Development, the Small Business Grant Program is designed to help small businesses that have been impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic. Eligible businesses in Hamden, operating since 2019, and able to demonstrate a negative economic impact from the pandemic, can apply for grants of up to $12,500 for eligible expenses.
Applications are currently open and will close on May 31 at 4 p.m. Only online submissions will be accepted, and detailed program guidelines can be found on the Town of Hamden’s Department of Economic and Community Development website.
Nancy Dudchik, President of the Hamden Regional Chamber of Commerce, expressed excitement about the partnership with the Town of Hamden and the opportunity for local businesses to benefit from the ARPA Small Business Grant Program.
