HERNDON, Va., May 2, 2024 /PRNewswire/ — In a groundbreaking development, SAP National Security Services, Inc. (SAP NS2®) has announced the Defense Information and Systems Agency (DISA) provisional authorization (PA) of SAP S/4HANA Cloud, Private Edition. This authorization allows SAP NS2 to deploy SAP S/4HANA and other cloud applications within their U.S. Department of Defense secure cloud environment authorized at FedRAMP+Impact Level 4 (DoD IL4).
The FedRAMP+DoD IL4 security guidelines define the necessary security measures for storing, processing, and transmitting controlled unclassified information (CUI) related to military operations, export control, critical infrastructure, and more. By following these guidelines, cloud service providers support DoD agencies in their cloud transformation strategy.

SAP NS2 is currently working on the DoD FedRAMP+IL5 build for SAP S/4HANA Cloud Private Edition, which will accommodate DoD CUI.
